Cornwall by George F. Nicholls

Having just returned from a week's holiday in glorious (if a bit wet and windy) Cornwall, it seemed only appropriate to find a few illustrations for this lovely holiday county.

This is the 3rd year we've been and the children love it as much, if not more, than the foreign holidays we've had. And so much cheaper.....!

Near Lelant:-

St. Ives (one of our favourite places):-

St. Ives again:-

Newlyn:-

St. Michael's Mount:-

These pics are from a book aptly named Cornwall by G.E. Mitton with lovely paintings by George Frank Nicholls (1885-1937).

If you've never been to Cornwall, go. Lots of lovely walks and pretty places to go - well worth a visit.
