My son left primary school yesterday - I can't believe he is already 11 and will be going to 'big school' in September. It's unbelievable how quickly time goes by - I could still talk you through his birth (all 22 hours of it!)
He's adamant that he's not upset at all although he's already started reminiscing about past school events. His leavers' assembly had the potential to be a real weepy one - mostly for the parents, not the children. One of the mums was crying before it started and offers of tissues only made it worse. We didn't dare turn round and look at her when her daughter got awards, would have only made her blub more!
