It's been a while since I've blogged. A series of horrible, saddening and tragic events have got in the way - the last one being the sudden and shocking death of my good friend's 13 year old daughter Zoe in the most awful accident. I'm not sure that parents can ever get over something like that - my thoughts are continually with my friend, her husband and her 11 year old sister.
Zoe was a very talented artist for one so young and left many pictures behind. Something that we will do as a tribute to her, and to raise money for a charity that she supported, is reproduce some of her work here on Printable Heaven. Watch this space!
Zoe was born in South Africa and spent most of her life in Africa, only returning from Nigeria last August.
As this is usually a blog that includes some nice old pictures, here are some of South Africa in Zoe's memory.

ReplyDeleteI just want to clarify - the pictures I've shown above aren't Zoe's pictures. These are from an old book aptly entitled Africa. Zoe's pictures cover a range of subjects from unbelievably artistic for one so young through to deep and dark - perhaps as you might expect from a teenager. When I get them I will do my best to them - and her - justice, and hopefully raise some funds for the charity that she felt so strongly about.
